The name Dream Trimmings comes from the dreamlike quality of the imagery, the scale of the paintings themselves, and the speed at which I created them. Each work is 6x6'' or smaller, and painted in less than an hour.
Sonambulance is a series of pencil drawings the artist created after graduating from college in 2013. Please contact the artist directly for availability.
This is a 10x3' pen on paper drawing made in the spring of 2013. in February of 2013, the artist lost her studio to a fire. This piece and the other works the artist produced at the time focused on the feeling of disorientation following the fire. But the decision to have all the figure-like shapes in the works be connected was also deliberate and was intended to represent the feeling of connectedness the artist felt with the other students living through the same experience with her. Mesomorphic Disorientation is a work that aims to create two feelings for the viewer - the feeling of being disoriented and directionless and yet also intensely connected with the world around you.
